Bond-Villain seems much more like Newt Gingrich's future

Than Romney, but having a large subterranean lair is a good start:
The Wall Street Journal has interesting detail on Mitt Romney's application to double the size of his beach house in La Jolla, CA: It will have an additional 3,600 square feet "of finished underground space, according to public records." "Tony Crisafi, one of the project's architects, declined to comment on Mr. Romney's motivations but says that these days, most of his clients want to be discreet about the scale of their home, and one way to do that is 'by pushing things underground.'"

Lincoln was born in a log cabin measuring 12 feet by 17 feet. And the only house Lincoln ever owned was but 1500 square feet. He added a second floor in the 1850s to bring the total for his growing family to a mere 3,000 square feet.

How much larger a man is Mitt Romney!

Wait... that's two words.

I still think this is Romney planning ahead to build his Western White House, ala Reagan. He'd need all that extra space for communications equipment and staff, and the Secret Service detail.

And, hey, if he loses, he can always use it as a b&d dungeon.

Nah, it's a money laundry for when Mittens brings it all back from Switzerland in small denomination bills.
