Mitt Romney started to lay out his energy plan at a Tuesday event, but because there were reporters in the room, he decided against doing so. During a Houston fundraiser, Romney told a room of about 125 donors that he planned to unveil his comprehensive energy plan this week. He said his proposal will specifically relate to fossil-based fuels. But then, he said no more. "I know that we have members of the media here right now, so I’m not going to go through that in great detail," Romney said, according to a pool report from the event.Because we the voters might find out what it is and have a chance to evaluate it -- and that just isn't done in Mitt Romney's version of democracy.
In fact, I believe the default setting, enunciated personally by Willard, is that virtually all issues are to be discussed "privately" and not allowed to be contemplated by those who may or may not vote for him.
That's healthy in any democracy that goes beyond being "self-styled" as one.

Given that his neocon advisers are Bush Jr. leftovers, I just assume his secret energy policy will be similar to Dick Cheney's secret energy policy - war. Since one of these advisers, Elliot Abrams, is calling for a Congressional declaration of war with Iran I assume that war will be with Iran.
If I went to Bain Capital for a job and refused to give them a resume, saying that they'd just misunderstand it, what would they do?
Rmoney is just plain flat unclear on the concept. He keeps telling us all, either literally or in effect, "just trust me." Doesn't he understand that we don't have any fuckin' reason at all to trust him? And myriad reasons not to trust him?
That he's getting a lot of his "ideas" from a bunch of whackjob Bush retread neoconservatives is one major reason not to trust him at all.
But, then, this is SOP. If Repugs told the truth about what they intended to do, none of them would ever get elected. It's why they lie.
