Lesson never learned

But of course:

An unsubstantiated charge by a Syrian government-controlled media outlet that rebels deployed chemical weapons in their battle against the government of President Bashar Assad prompted American lawmakers on Tuesday to sound the alarm about weapons of mass destruction and urgently call for a U.S. military response.

Well, we've managed to fuck up just about everything we've touched in the last sixty years, so, why not send in the Marines (and the CIA and the special ops) yet again.

We probably had a big hand in destabilizing Syria, in order to "stabilize" it, and now, surprise, surprise, it's out of control.

Maybe if we stopped electing greedy morons to run this country....

Shades of Ahmad Chalabi, here we go again.

Did that "unsubstantiated charge" prompt any of those lawmakers into offering a tax increase to pay for that military response?

I thought not.
