Resurrection Confections, Resurrection Erections

Looks like Don Imus is taking some heat for calling members of the Rutgers women's basketball team "“nappy-headed ho’s.”

Charming.

This is par for the course for Imus, whose "sense of humor" is not only racist and sexist, but juvenile and just plain stupid.
Mr. Imus’s defenders say that he is actually an equal-opportunity offender: Jews, gays and Roman Catholics are also his frequent targets.
Well, that definitely makes it all better. But what's that about Roman Catholics?
Yesterday’s show, on Good Friday, included a song couplet that managed to rhyme the words “resurrection” and “erection.”
So my question: has William Donohue denouced Imus? Has he called for Imus's resignation? Is he going to go on Larry King and demand that NBC fire Don Imus? Come on, rhyming "resurrection" and "erection" during Holy Week?
"This is one of the worst assaults on Christian sensibilities ever,” said Bill Donohue, head of the watchdog Catholic League. “It's not just the ugliness of the portrayal, but the timing — to choose Holy Week is astounding." --Catholic League President, William Donahue on this Week's "Chocolate Jesus" "controversy."
Come on. If a resurrection confection is unacceptable then surely a resurrection erection must be, too. Stay tuned. But don't hold your breath.
