Bulgaria will gradually withdraw its troops from Iraq by the end of this year, Minister of Defense Nikolay Svinarov said Thursday.

Svinarov said the government would submit a draft decision about the pullout of the 450-strong light infantry battalion to parliament by the end of this month.

“The document is still being drafted in the Defense Council with the Ministry of Defense,” Svinarov said.

He said the unit would be reduced to some 350 soldiers during its next rotation in June.

The loss is especially galling because Congressional Republicans are unable to think of anything to rename "FREEDOM" something!
