The National Security Agency has kept secret since 2001 a finding by an agency historian that NSA officers deliberately distorted critical intelligence during the Tonkin Gulf episode that helped precipitate the Vietnam War, according to two people familiar with the historian's work.
...deliberately distorted critical intelligence...
Gee, no similarities to modern times there.
And what is this with the NSA keeping this document secret since 2001, it is almost as if they didn't want this confirmation around, when, say, there was a dispute about intelligence during the build up to another war.
Why would one think that?
You know national media, once again, I'd like to point out I'm just a dope from Iowa; often portrayed as a hick, a hayseed. I'm supposed to be naive and simple; a "bumkin" if you will. I was ed-ju-ma-cated at "State Schools". So how come I can notice stuff like this, yet you cannot be bothered?
Of course, us bumkins have always just fought and died in your wars, we've never been good at starting them -- that's been the job the elites always claim.
UPDATE: Tom Legg had similar thoughts.
