Life is full of Surprises

One thing that I have learned about politics in America, lo these four decades is that no matter how low I think the floor is; there is inevitably an ability to dig that son-of-a-bitch a little deeper.

For example, you can defibrillate Dick Cheney to the point that he can come out and sneer that it is indeed YOU, Mr. or Ms. Reality-based that is indeed the liar. Why it is you and your lyin' eyes that that have things all wrong you un-American bastard.

And if the floor hasn't been dug deeply enough, you can even outcrazy Li'l Lulu with a guest filbert:

Keep a sharp eye on fresh developments in both Canada and Cuba, two countries with rogue, corrupt and repressive regimes that don't know when to cut their losses and leave town.

There is a person who is "literally" coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs. I believe the operative word would be "Hoser". May he be eternally afflicted with a bad case of hockey hair.

And digging toward the earth's core comes Cap'n Crunch telling us that the liberals are in trouble because their poll numbers are only 34% and that should be cause for panic.

Well, if that's the case, Cap'n you better panic:

President Bush's positive job rating continues to fall, touching another new low for his presidency, the latest Harris Interactive poll finds.

Bush's current job approval rating stands at 34%, compared with a positive rating of 88% soon after 9/11, 50% at this time last year, and 40% in August.
