White House Travel Office

Josh Marshall and his Muckrakers (would that not make an AWESOME Johnny Quest like Cartoon, er, Animated Adventure?) have been following the saga of the Bush Administration firing so-far Seven United States Attorneys, all of whom have been involved in investigating Republican corruption. It has really been a splending nugget of information they have uncovered.

Meanwhile, other than on Talking Points Memo and Talking Points Memo affiliated Industries the press hasn't really been discussing this at all.

A commentor on the rationally conservative blog Balloon Juice, OttoMan (who has his own blog), makes a great point, and harkens us back to the glory days of when the press actually investigated anything that Rush Limbaugh told them to:

Remember when Bill Clinton fired the political appointees in the White House travel office—individuals with no tenure or civil service protections? Remember how the outraged right-wingers rushed in with torches and pitchforks? And the media acted like it was the Saturday Night Massacre?

This thing …. not so much.

Yes, that is curious isn't it?
