Atrios put up a link to this WaPo column by a former soldier who worked as a "contract interrogator" in Iraq. It's gotten to the point where I can't read something like this and automatically begin imagining the right-wing smear job and Swiftboating that's sure to follow. I did it yesterday after watching Tim Russert hobble into the Scooter Libby trial on his crutches, and I did it again today after reading about Eric Fair's experiences in Iraq.
As Eschaton commenter ProfWombat said, "res, if you made that up, it's a token of the poverty of our political life that I could read it and not immediately know it was snark..."
