The Village -- Let's just lynch everybody

It's bad enough to read America's Concern Troll list the people he wants to punch in the face as hard as he can (sounds completely harmless), but Cokie Roberts is determined to one up everybody in the screech wars:

"Roman Polanski is a criminal," Roberts said on ABC's "This Week." "He raped and drugged and raped and sodomized a child. And then was a fugitive from justice. As far as I'm concerned, just take him out and shoot him."

I really don't give too much of a shit what happens to Roman Polanski -- now a very old man -- but I don't quite consider him an escaped Nazi war-criminal (a treatment which is also quite tasteless) except that it should follow due process and not the dictates of pundits determined to show of their fake righteousness.
