Well this is tragic

I believe in the 2nd Amendment -- especially the opening clause (the one gun-nuts pretend doesn't exist). In order to maintain a well-regulated militia, obviously is consistent with the interpretation of the right-wing that gun ownership should be un-regulated.

That's the kind of brilliant scholarship Tony Scalia is famous for.

Nevertheless, there's tragic irony in the murder-suicide of one of last year's "internet sensations" the pistol-packing soccer mom.

Meleanie Hain, the pistol-carrying Lebanon mom who received national attention for taking a loaded gun to her daughter’s soccer game, was shot to death Wednesday night with her husband in an apparent murder-suicide, police said.

I know there are some internet points to be scored by the pro-regulation crowd, of which I'm one. But I'm pretty sure that while carrying a loaded gun to a soccer game is both in poor taste and really, really stupid, being shot or shooting someone with a handgun in your own home is a use of firearms that is going to be hard to regulate out of existence.
