Beyond Parody

There are certain people that just shouldn't post paeans to white trash gluttony. And specifically this one:

White Castle Turkey Stuffing

1991 Cookoff Winner

10 White Castle hamburgers, no pickles

1 1/2 cups celery, diced

1 1/4 tsp. ground thyme

1 1/2 tsp. ground sage

3/4 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper

1/4 cup chicken broth

In a large mixing bowl, tear the burgers into pieces and add diced celery and seasonings. Toss and add chicken broth. Toss well. Stuff cavity of turkey just before roasting. Makes about 9 cups (enough for a 10- to 12-pound turkey). Note: Allow 1 hamburger for each pound of turkey, which will be the equivalent of 3/4 cup of stuffing per pound.

Even the sycophants to the sycophant are revolting:

I just threw up a little bit. I'll be OK.

Disgusting.

actually... this is not that bad...

a) these "burgers are mostly bread.
b) since the other part is mostly grease, that substitutes for a stick or two of melted butter people put in stuffing
c) they have some onion like material on them which is a key ingredient.
d) make it two cups of celery and a whole tsp of pepper and it should not be that bad...

I'm actually surprised she didn't post the recipe to the dunkin' donuts stuffed turkey with syrup and sprinkles Watertiger has up on her page....

And this is the 1991 Cookoff Winner?
Where? In Cincinnati?

"Hey honey, we ran out of sausage for the turkey stuffing!"

"OK, I'll run to White Castle. But be sure to take the pickles off!"

Shorter version of the recipe:

1) Grind up 10 White Castle burgers
2) Add flavor
