Depressing. Over at the Orange Satan, the natives are pretty restless about the general trend.
Obama has plenty of time to switch parties and run for re-election as a Gerald Ford Republican.
Well, this is just wonderful. How F***ING STUPID can these people be? Let's see, the corporations can dump whatever they want into political races now, the wealthy mostly support the other guys, is there any possible way we can make our position even worse?
I know! Insult and directly attack members of the middle to upper middle class! Yeah! Let them know we not only haven't "got your back", but we despise you and plan to stick you with the tab for all the current financial problems. Those who are demonstrably responsible for the financial crisis, on the other hand, will not be held accountable, and will even be rewarded for their incompetence/malfeasance. Nothing can go wrong there!
so that would "save" $5 billion over 2 years.... has the brain trust figured how much it's going to cost the economy in growth over that same period??? Not to mention what it's going to cost the Democrats in party support...
Now if it was confined to just the elected asshats that would be money well saved... but those fuckers will probably turn around in January and vote themselves a pay raise...
