How Rupert Murdoch's British newspaper hacked into the phone conversations of liberal politicians and celebrities they didn't like to sell papers, set their agenda, and force politicians out of office.
A big ruling came down this week that may shake his empire...not that you'll hear about it here.

It would be lovely to see him take a major hit, maybe even be held personally responsible, but I am not holding my breath with the Conservatives in power there.
well that's good... I wonder if that release of info will lead to a trail of reporters/hackers in his ops over here...
not that it would do any good... our DOJ would likely not follow up.
My guess is that this means a whole gaggle of new plaintiffs. The suits have been filed by those who suspected mischief because of what was reported in the paper. There may be dozens more people spied upon who didn't figure it out, or weren't reported on at the time the spying was going on.
It will take a bunch of hefty awards to make even a small dent in Murdoch's fortune, but, hell, it all helps. The less money he has, the less able he is to bribe politicians.
