"Skipped a Generation"

I'm just going to speculate for the hell of it, that the guy who once had the guts and foresight to say this:
On August 31, 1967, in a taped interview with locally influential talk show host Lou Gordon of WKBD-TV in Detroit, Romney stated: "When I came back from Viet Nam [in November 1965], I'd just had the greatest brainwashing that anybody can get." He then shifted to opposing the war: "I no longer believe that it was necessary for us to get involved in South Vietnam to stop Communist aggression in Southeast Asia." Decrying the "tragic" conflict, he urged "a sound peace in South Vietnam at an early time." Thus Romney disavowed the war and reversed himself from his earlier stated belief that the war was "morally right and necessary".
Would be quite shocked and ashamed that his son is going to say this tomorrow in Poland:
The speech on the "values of liberty" at Warsaw University on Tuesday is expected to seek to rekindle the flames of US cold war righteousness by featuring a strong attack on Russia and President Vladimir Putin's rollback of democratic gains, while also criticising the US president, Barack Obama, for allegedly sacrificing the interests and security of central European democracy in favour of realpolitik with the Kremlin.
Red baiting?

I'd thought even in conservative circles we had moved on from that. Muslim baiting, liberal baiting, race-baiting, gay-baiting sure, masturbating ab-so-freaking-lutely, but red baiting?

But why not, it's been one embarrassment after another for Willard, why not revisit the good ol' days of nuclear war.

I imagine that when Romney arrives back on American soil the first thing he'll do is praise NBC's Olympic coverage -- after all he's on a roll [and one that it should be noted isn't hurting him much in the polls].

Rmoney returns to the cozy, welcoming cocoon of the American media.

The main embarassment was those pesky furriner reporters, who’d document Willard’s statements accurately for a change.
