CPAC brings out "traditional values"

Mr. Rubio:

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) threw some social conservative red meat to CPAC-goers on Thursday in a rant against Democrats who criticize him and members of his party for opposing same-sex marriage and abortion rights.

"Just because I believe that states should have the right to define marriage in a traditional way does not make me a bigot"

Yes, traditional marriage now means gays cannot marry -- if only there was an analogy we could draw upon?  Hmm....oh, look here, as recently as 2009.

A Louisiana justice of the peace said he refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple out of concern for any children the couple might have. Keith Bardwell, justice of the peace in Tangipahoa Parish, says it is his experience that most interracial marriages do not last long. "I'm not a racist. I just don't believe in mixing the races that way," Bardwell told the Associated Press on Thursday.

Yes, Marco Rubio you're just as non-bigoted as this guy.

The Republican idea of Hispanic outreach is to drag a Cuban onstage. Cubans hold all other Hispanics in contempt as lesser life forms, and all other Hispanics know it.

He’s just there to hoax the yokels. It’s Eddie Munster’s turn. The last 40 years, Republicans pick whoever’s turn it is. It’s kind of funny, because the last time there was a really open nomination season was 1968. That actually turned out pretty well for them.
