No small irony

North Dakota, America's trend setter for, well, no one, passed the nation's most restrictive law on abortion this week, essentially taking its protection as close to the moment of conception as they could.

Even many Republicans are outraged.

Listen, I've been to North Dakota, I even lived there for a brief period of time.

I think it is debatable there IS life there in any respect.

Try driving between Fargo and Minot and you will agree.

Never made it that far north, but I remember talking to a co-worker who'd spent some time doing regular sales runs in North Dakota. Made me almost grateful for only having to deal with Wisconsin winter.

North Dakota--where you'd better get a life at conception, because otherwise it'll be too late.

i suppose limbaugh will be saying all these middle aged mom's and matriarchs are whores too... all wrapped fetchingly in fleece...

good on em. now, perhaps they can do something about their legislature in the first place and quit voting so solidly republican without thinking of the consequences.

It has been scientifically proven that life begins when you leave North Dakota.

Growing up on the plains of southern Minnesota, I was alway told that the strong northwesterly winds we lived with were because North Dakota blows and Iowa sucks...

Good thing for North Dakotan women is that they live close to the Candian border. Definitely time for a new underground railroad.
