Undeterred, House Republicans pressed ahead with their latest attempt to squeeze a concession from the White House in exchange for letting the government open for business normally on Tuesday. "Obamacare is based on a limitless government, bureaucratic arrogance and a disregard of a will of the people," said Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind.
Another Republican, Rep. Darrell Issa of California, reacted angrily when asked whether he would eventually support a standalone spending bill if needed to prevent a shutdown. "How dare you presume a failure? How dare you? How dare you?" he said.Well "open meltdown" is an interesting tactic. But I guess it just goes with the program.

The package goods are from TheHill.com:
“How dare you presume a failure? How dare you? How dare you? How dare you presume a failure?” Issa asked, his voice rising with each question.
“The fact is, this country is based on people saying they won’t do things, and at the end of the day, coming together to compromise. We continue to anticipate that there’s an opportunity for sensible compromise,” he added.
“I will not accept from anybody the assumption that we’ll have failure.”
Hmm. Issa thinks that ruining the country's credit rating is a success?
I wonder how many Republicans have moved their money into hedge funds that are shorting dollars?
where were they when georgee W was digging the hole?
Tanking the economy is a strategy to make Obama administration look bad for 2014 elections. The market tanks, unemployment jumps, deficit goes up because of increased interest rate, blame it on the unamerican guy. Smear every Dem candidate with that stigma. If people die, so be it. At least they kept their power.
