Ms. Palmieri, no matter who John Edwards hires to run his blogging operation, the wingnuts will always find something wrong with them. There will always be another post, another profane utterance, another comment that irritates, insults, offends, or piques someone or some group somewhere. The wingnuts will find them all. Are you going to spend the next twenty-two months hiring and firing bloggers? Are you going to allow yourselves to be distracted by the likes of William Donohue and Michelle Maglalangadingdong? Are you going to legitimize fake controversies by reacting to them as though they were real?
Don't do it. Ignore these wingnuts. Tell the NYT the truth: that this is a fake controversy designed to distract the public from the failings of the president, the Republican candidates, the war, and all the other Republican-generated fuck-ups we've seen these last six years.
