The Soul of Twit

Michael Gerson bobs his cowlick one more time and types out what he styles as a witty bon mot:

According to one survey, just 7 percent of elite American scientists believe in a personal god -- the kind to whom you pray. About 8 percent, however, affirm their belief in personal immortality -- indicating that some egos are so large that they fill eternity.

Of course, this is 90 plus percent less than members of the Bush Administration.

(Note, also indicative of the Bush Administration, Gerson intentionally misstates the latter poll result which was a "personally belief in HUMAN immortality" a question of incredibly general vagueness that could sweep in some form of belief in legacy ... say Newton, Darwin, Einstein, Aristotle etc.)
