For "Redstate" just another day ending in "y"

I know that this is the third straight post on Mark Sanford (and really when will Sarah Palin or John Ensign add more stupid today, it's already 4:15 in the morning?!) but this is just too good not to note.

When the Sanford disappearance rumors were starting and before the Governor returned from the Argentina, Redstate's Erick Erickson was doing what he does best, braying as loudly as possible without any supporting evidence.

And while this was going on, Erickson was putting his one foot where his other foot and mouth were:

The e-mails also show some reached out to the governor on how best to come to his defense.

“If he wants something more personal for the blog to push back, I’m happy to help,” wrote Erick Erickson, a writer for RedState.com. On June 23, Erickson ripped “media speculation” about Sanford’s whereabouts.

“I wasn’t trying to be a reporter. I wanted to curtail the story,” Erickson said by e-mail. “Well that didn’t work.”

No shit Sherlock. Maybe you'll learn the lesson on the 7,745th try?
