She's a Republican alright

New York's 19th district has a Republican challenger that pretty much epitomizes many of the young loud-mouths I've had to deal with from time to time -- loud and educated from morons.

Meet 30 year old Kristia Cavere, and yeah, she's a teabagger:

"The Republicans are the ones who liberated Europe in World War II."

This, of course, will come to real news to, uh, y'know history -- some well-healed Democrat in a wheelchair for example. And, even worse since Ms. Cavere equates "liberate" with defeating Hitler, the only other implication her knowledge of history could have is that Stalin and the Red Army were Republicans because they did a lot more on that score than anyone else.

Have to say that the modern Republicans do share more than a passing resemblance to Stalin, except for that whole communist thing.

I've always wondered why more wasn't made of the fact that Saddam's elite army divisions were Republicans who formed the Republican Guard?

In related news, the paperback comes out in a week and it;s already feeling dated.

very clever Krista... set up a website that touts your dead brother's military service as a self-promotional tool...

Her list of "reading" and things she supports is interesting... not a very broad list for someone who's trying to get elected to public office...

and in her bio it states she was "awarded" a "secret" clearance...

During her last year in school Kristia was a Management Analyst in the Office of the Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon. To obtain this position, she was awarded a “Secret” Security Clearance from the federal government.

sorry honey, that's not a prize for extraordinary achievements, it's granted for not being a total douchebag or criminal... all it means is that someone in the DoD program you were in thought you were a somewhat trustworthy person... And weren't a couple of James O'Keefe's partners in crime also part of a similar program?

Hmm. During her last year in school Kristia was a Management Analyst in the Office of the Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon.

If she was still in school, she wasn't working full-time for the DoD, That means she wasn't a management analyst. She was a management analyst intern. Nothing like a Repug to excel at resume-padding.

But, as for the obviously idiotic remark about the GOP entering Berlin (on elephants like Hannibal crossing the Alps, no doubt), she thinks that because Eisenhower ran as a Repug in 1952, that meant Repugs won the war. Which would have been rather a stunner for Stalin, Montgomery and the Democrats in 1945, and probably to Eisenhower himself (given that he toyed with both parties for a considerable time before declaring for Repugs).

Quite clearly, there's a trend brewing on the right--utter ignorance and general stupidity is now in service to ideologically-motivated revisionism. This woman sounds like she'd have better chances seeking a place on the Texas state school board.

From her bio:

"Her) family instilled a love of history, reading, and learning in both siblings."

Ummmm.

She got her grad degree from Missouri State University’s Department of Defense and Strategic Studies, for some reason, located in Fairfax, VA.

The graduate program requires only 36 semester hours of study with NO thesis or dissertation requirement, i.e., it is an institution with relaxed admissions and academic standards.

The Department of Defense and Strategic Studies was founded by a Reich-wing Reagan Rethuglican, and it is staffed by even more Reich-wing Rethuglicans.

Yeah, I saw that documentary about how Hitler committed suicide and the rest of the Nazis all surrendered when they realized they could never offer the German people the deep tax cuts which the invading Republican Army was offering.
