BP fumbled its latest underwater experiment with the wild Gulf gusher — just like every other endeavor the company has tried to fix the nation's worst oil spill and BP's chief executive said the company wasn't fully prepared for the disaster.
But this is Tony Hay-zel-ward so naturally an admission that is several days late will be followed by a statement that will have to be apologized for later:
However, Hayward said BP had been successful so far in keeping most of the oil away from the southeastern U.S. coast.
"Considering how big this has been, very little has got away from us," Hayward was quoted as saying.
I do agree, in general, with those who say Obama is being unduly criticized over this fuck up and his hands are tied by years of neglect and carelessness he is only fractionally responsible for in comparison to others.
However, the government could certainly stop BP from continuing to so flagrantly enforcing access to the beaches they do not own to allow them to keep lying. Oh, and he could fire whoever did this.

If the unfair criticism leads to O'Bama being bounced, I'm all for it. He's a goddam fucking liar, anyway.
JDM prolly doesn't care very much about Obama's handling of the oil spill. Not really.
What really burns JDM and similar leftists of his ilk is the way that Barack Obama fucked 'em on Iraq, Afghanistan, Guantanamo and the warrentless wiretapping of terrorist scum. That's why the smarter among this very stupid group are now realizing that Obama put the screws to the extremist left.
hehehehe,,,,,,, :)
.
seems to me BP IS NEVER prepared.
this administration is parroting the same line Beyond Prosecution gives for why they haven't commandeered tankers to suck up the oil. they say it's because the oil has dispered too much for this to be effective. i don't buy it. BP refuses to be even acknowledge plumes below the surface. are they refusing to employ this option because they don't want a true accounting of barrels spewed? an accounting of which they then they would be held liable. why is obama still following BP's lead? he's being lead by the nose. and there is NO excuse for obama allowing BP to continue spraying solvents after EPA ordered them to stop. spineless wonder should never have allowed BP to spray in the first place. he gives more weight to whatever BP has to say than biologists or independent oil experts. everybody else gets ignored. wtf? we might as well run oil companies for president. exxon vs chevron. they act like they own the place.
