Constantly jumping in and out of National Guard helicopters and drawing up plans for additional “burrito levees” and “boudin bags” needed to stop the oil slick from flowing further into his state’s marshes, [Bobby] Jindal has quickly mastered the details of the issue.
Yeah, like "mastery" of this detail from December 2006, I discussed last week:
Hours before adjourning for the year, the U.S. Congress on Saturday sent President George W. Bush legislation that would open 8.3 million acres in the Gulf of Mexico to oil and natural gas drilling and redistribute billions of dollars in royalties to four Gulf states...
Rep. Bobby Jindal, a Louisiana Republican and one of the drilling measure's main supporters, said Bush will sign the bill into law.
Wow, was he on top of that issue.
Because, when it comes to our awesome village residents, what matters isn't what you have done, or what you are doing, it's what you look like you are doing now that you managed to help effectuate the disaster.

Is it time to start the Kenneth Does The Rebuttal tapes?
Jindal's mouth still looks like Mark Foley's been at it.
"Key to winning support in the Senate was a provision that gives four Gulf Coast states - Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama - 37.5 percent of the royalties collected from oil and gas production on federal leases off their shores."
So, if Bobby Jindal, Rick "Secede Now" Parry, Bob Riley, and Klansman Haley Barbour got all that money, why should the U.S. taxpayer be involved at all in this mess? States Rights!!
the ocean needs better pr people.
