Rising Hegemon
Good grief. Is there a bigger manchild on the planet than Andrew Sullivan? Like me, Sully's an Obama supporter, but unlike me, he's one who frequently indulges in and subjects his readers to silly paeans to Obama the Savoir and fanciful rhetoric about New Camelot (a Camelot in which, I suspect, Sully envisions his genius self a member of the Inner Circle, but I digress....).
But with supporters like Sully, who needs enemies? Obama loses OH, (maybe) loses TX, and takes a few (admittedly hard) hits from HRC and Sully's ready to throw up his hands and throw in the towel, and not just on BHO, but on an entire generation of voters and an end to Politics as We Know It. And speaking of Politics as We Know It, he's shocked -- shocked -- and terribly disappointed that HRC is playing Republican-style hardball with BHO. Sully's disappeared his archives, but I don't remember him keening, moaning, and rending his garments when Dumbya was bitch-slapping John Kerry from Charleston to Chattanooga and back again.
