Halliburton Flunks!

The GAO released a report on Halliburton that demonstrates just how ineffective, greedy, and poor the services were (and are?) the former Cheney ran corporation has been for the men and women in the U.S. Military. Lets take support our troops seriously -- and that does not include you Mr. Preznit -- and give them the help and logistical backing that they need.

From the short report:

In the report, GAO examined numerous facets of Halliburton’s contract with the U.S. military to provide essential services to the troops in Iraq. GAO found significant problems in almost every area, including ineffective planning, inadequate cost control, insufficient training of contract management officials, and a pattern of recurring problems with controlling costs, meeting schedules, documenting purchases, and overseeing subcontractors.

Some of the problems include:
  • Ineffective support services

  • Uncontrolled Costs

  • Contract Management Problems or cost overruns, no oversight of subcontractors, problems with purchasing, not meeting deadlines, and more...

  • No oversight of Halliburton

How on this green earth did Halliburton get these contracts? Oh, yeah!
