Needlenose, one of the best of those of us who blog on the level below the big boys (Swopa, Green Boy et al deserve many hits IMO) provides us with this new information regarding Ayatolla Sistani, and contrary to some other reports that said it was tactical, it may be legit.

This certainly isn't good.

Shiite Islam's most revered cleric, Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani, was admitted to a London hospital, according to a statement from the cleric's Najaf office.

"Upon his arrival in London, Sayed Sistani met with a medical team that advised him to enter a specialist hospital to undergo the necessary tests or procedures," said the statement without providing further details.

Of course, if it wasn't a publicity stunt, as Swopa asks, why the picture?
