And all I'm going to be lucky to get is a lousy Lifetime Movie

I've always thought that Judy Miller is hiding something in the Plame matter, either of her own malfeasance, or of her complicity in one matter or another. But I have also thought that there was a tremendous amount of "glory hounding" about her as well. From her behavior in the Gulf War as a veritable spigot of neocon misinformation and spin, to a description of her behavior during the early days of the Iraq invasion. It continued with her unyeilding refusal to face reality in the wake of the finding of no WMD's, for which she had been a primary outlet, forcing the NY Times to apologize and then stating "I was proved fucking right!"

I have little doubt that along with protecting what she considers her "fine ass", Miller also saw dollar signs and greater fame. What would be more alluring to her than a big-screen production of "Judy of Arabia"?

Well, in her hubris, Judy thought she'd be a hero and a more famous and wealthy one. And the book advance, or lordy seven figures easy, and from Doubleday, or Random House too.

But now, while she sits in a jail cell, sure that she's a hero to millions, the cummulative hubris and scumbaggery is rising to the surface.

Soon the book contract will come from Regnery and the Oxygen network won't return her agents phone calls.
