We kept hearing the chattering classes yesterday talk about how hard this has obviously been on Abramoff (like I'm supposed to feel sorry for him!) as witnessed by a tearful apology in court (I got caught -- waaaaaaah!).

Well if it is such an embarassment, what is this guy doing wearing a black fedora out of court?

One, if you want to stand out in a crowd in the present day, wear a Fedora. The guy is 47, who the hell that age wears a fedora without doing so to make a statement?

And two...a BLACK fedora?

You just plead guilty to being a gigantic felonious asshole, who essentially bilked charities in addition to your other crimes...and you wear a black hat?

There's some level of pure enjoyment in this from him as well.

What a sick bastard -- and so many sick bastards as buddies too.
