Oh what a delightful mess

The Anti-John McCain wing of the Republican Party -- which I believe is about 50 to 60% of the base is full of irrational reasons for their actions. This includes detesting McCain for not being conservative enough. About as illogical a claim as can be made. It's how this "Straight-Talk" stuff is more than just bullshit, it's crazy bullshit.

But now, the far-right is being given something more than just irrational and illogical reasons for their McHate -- the Party elites and the press corps are giving them perfectly logical and rational ones.

Such as this. McCain had a disastrously bad weekend. He lost the Kansas Caucus in a landslide to the right-reverend Jesus riding a Dinosaur, Huckabee.

And then he lost Louisiana Primary.

And for most of the weekend he was losing Washington's Caucus too in a vote counting scheme that took all fucking day. After the first two rushes of votes, Huckabee was winning. And then, about ten hours after the Caucuses ended, suddenly with 87% of the votes counted the State GOP Chairman noticed McCain had eeked out the slightest of leads and he called the State for "Mr. Straight Count" without finishing the count which in his wisdom he deemed "unnecessary".

Therefore, totally by the machinations of some establishment GOP prig John McCain avoided having an O-fer weekend.
