Of all the preaching schmoes in the world

The one I least need to hear from is the Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club:

Masters chairman Billy Payne on Wednesday delivered a stinging assessment of how Tiger Woods's off-course behavior had disappointed fans -- particularly children

Yes, because the Chairman of the place full of rich old white men, who didn't let a black person do more than caddy until the mid-70s -- at a tournament called The MASTERS; who didn't have an African-American member until the early 90s; which still, I believe, doesn't have a single female member...

IS THE FIRST PLACE I GO TO FOR A MORAL LECTURE!

Not to mention, the thing the Southern white gentlemen (and really is there anything more annoying than being preached to by a rich Southern white asshole?) is so worked up about is 'philandering'.

I'm sure that not one of the filthy rich men of Augusta National, NOT A ONE!, has ever committed adultery at the time they were with either their original wife, or the trophy model they traded in for in their 50s.

NOT...A...ONE!

The Masters Tournament is one of the first places I'd go to expect a lecture about those people keeping their hands off the white women. Billy Paine made par for the course.

Just think of the children, Attaturk. I'm not sure what they have to do with this, but could it hurt to just think of them?

Religion is really good for at least one thing, teaching children hypocrisy at a young age.

The master is about money.
the masters is about more money.
Tiger will draw more viewers and more advertising than ever before.
He knows this. The chairman knows this. The chairman's hyping his event with his holier than tiger stance. Free advertising.

"It is not simply the degree of his conduct that is so egregious here; it is the fact that he disappointed all of us, and more importantly, our kids and our grandkids. Our hero did not live up to the expectations of the role model we saw for our children."

Oh, go fuck yourself, you rancid old goat. If you're encouraging your kids/grandkids to idolize someone who was a perpetual ad campaign and made hundreds of millions of dollars for hitting a ball around plush lawns, then you are morally bankrupt. How about having little Trevor and Brianna idolize scientists or firefighters instead?

In any case, it's adults who are idolators, kids haven't been beaten down by cynicism and hypocrisy yet, so they have much better bullshit detectors than cock-heads like Mr. Payne.
