Shorter Department of Defense

How DARE those Wikileaks people show that videotaped massacre we committed and then conveniently lost the tape.

We'd have gotten away with it all too, if it weren't for those dirty fucking hippies!

So maybe Wikileaks got it from the janitor when someone in the pentagon threw it in the trash can instead of the burn can? Just wondering.

It was an encrypted digital file, so, one would rightly wonder if the person told to erase it saved a copy before doing so.

The other possibility is that they really couldn't find it. There's bound to be just incredible numbers of gun camera and bomb drop videos after nearly a decade of war, between Iraq and Afghanistan.

Hell, there were a quarter-million no-fly-zone sorties alone--before the second war against Iraq ever started.

War is an admission of failed diplomacy. In the case of Iraq, diplomacy never had a chance to fail
w. started it from purely vindictive motives, and the murder and carnage that ensued gave vent to spleen. What an ignoble adventure this has been.
