NRA now sponsoring health care reform

If nothing else it will treat Wayne LaPierre's erectile dysfunction:
An Omaha firefighter was shot Monday afternoon after a woman being transported in an ambulance pulled out a gun. The incident began just after 3 p.m. when paramedics were called to the area of 48th and L Streets on a report of a woman having a seizure. They put her in an ambulance and headed for a hospital. While en route, near 42nd and Center Streets, she pulled out a gun, according to police. The firefighter, who has not been identified but is in his mid-30s, grabbed for the weapon and it discharged. He radioed a “help a firefighter” message, and officers responded.

Another example of guns making us all safer.

I was watching a movie a few years back when a young man in the row behind us started to have a seizure. My wife alerted the theatre to stop the movie while say with him to keep him from hurting himself when I noticed a large calibre hand gun had fallen out of his pocket. Clearly another responsible gun owner.

Well, that's an interesting take on the good samaritan story.
