I love this section

Steve Gilliard has a great blog, I like it a lot. And for this kind of sycophancy if nothing else he should blogroll us...right?

The actual business world is calling Attaturk this weekend, so little posting from me today, but I really did like this little excerpt about Dick Cheney, Chickenhawk, and rightly called Coward by Iowa Senator (and veteran) Tom Harkin:

Could you imagine a phony tough guy like Cheney leading men in combat? Our troops have always deserved better. He's the kind of phony tough guy you see in Hollywood. Real tough guys keep their mouths shut and act.

You know, John Wayne never served a day in the military. Jimmy Stewart was drafted as a private, fought to be assigned to pilot training, then to be assigned to an overseas squadron. Then became a successful squadron commander and was promoted to Lt. Col by the end of the war. Funny thing, Stewart didn't make too many war movies after seeing the real thing.

John Kerry, Tom Harkin and hundreds of thousands of men served in Vietnam. Dick Cheney chose to avoid military service when it mattered and now he's Un hombre muy macho. More than willing to kill other people kids and call himself tough. Of course he's a coward, what else could he be?
