The UK: Foreign Relations Committee...Thanks to Bush, WORLD MORE DANGEROUS PLACE

The equivalent of the Senate/House Foreign Relations Committee in Great Britain has concluded:

A report by the powerful House Of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee has said that American and British military attacks are making the world more dangerous.

It has also said that Britain is losing the war on terror.

War had turned Iraq into a "battleground for al-Qaeda with appalling consequences for the Iraqi people". It may become a "failed state" causing instability throughout the Middle East, the committee warned.

The US-led attack on Afghanistan had "left a fragile state in one of the most sensitive and volatile regions of the world" and the country "could implode with terrible consequences".

On Palestine, it said US and UK support for Israel had left the peace plan, known as the Road Map, "stalled, possibly fatally". Tony Blair had hoped the Iraq crisis would drop down the political agenda after the Hutton Report and Butler Inquiry.

But the 70,000-word report, one of the most critical in recent years, will lead to more questions about his backing for George Bush's military attacks. MPs on the committee heard from expert witnesses who told them claims global terrorism was being rolled back were "optimistic and most certainly incorrect".

The report is a CLEAR indictment of Blair and Bush.

Remember it when the Bushies and the Freepers cry out we are safer, because "we done blowed stuff up", which at heart is their argument.
