At least they are consistent. They lied about WMDs and the cost of the Iraq War before the war. They lie constantly about the current state of the war.
So why not take the same tack with the greatest disaster in this country in more than a century?
Atrios is exactly right -- as he states so often -- the press has no ability to lecture bloggers about ethics, considering that for the most part Bloggers are pretty good about citing their source; while reporters cite to shrouded figures who are allowed to lie to them with impunity.
The NY Times reports today that the White House spinning operation, which it undoubtedly considers more important than the actual relief operation, is being run by Dan Bartlett and Karl Rove. C'mon Newsweek and the Washington Post, just admit that once again these consistent liars, have lied again. And that they will lie about ANYTHING even human tragedy.
