Over at kos Armando has a good post on Alito and senator comments that he respects precedent and would be reluctant to overturn well-settled law. This isn't news folks; all judges are going to say they are bound by precedent (especially from the You-nita States Soo-preme Court). I may disagree with it but it is well-settled blah, blah, blah. They have been nibbling on the edges of Roe for years and they will keep doing so. It is how they overturn good law. They find nuances in facts, they differentiate cases on any multitude of bases, they say we aren't overturning Roe, we are just finding in this specific instance the holding in Roe does not apply.
Bad for women. Bad for men. Bad for America.
