Worst moment in the entire Grammy show was the very strange kabuki theatre version of "A Day In The Life." Good God, that was awful. Look, I love the Beatles as much as the next guy, but damn it all to hell... the slavish boomer-centric devotion being showed them was just ridiculous.
Also a waste was the "Sir George Martin is pretty freaking old, we'd better throw him a Grammy moment" that came during the award for best soundtrack. If you're looking for fresh and original, the award should have gone to Glenn Hansard and Marketa Irglova (for the terrific Once soundtrack), not the 977th straight cynical repackaging of The Beatles' back catalog for Baby Boomer consumption.
Listen Boomers. If you are packaging your golden nostalgicized rebellion to sell me beer or stuff from Target, its not rebellion anymore.
