[A]ccepting a challenge from New York University’s Jay Rosen, interim host Jake Tapper has arranged for the St. Petersburg Times’ PolitiFact site to fact-check what “This Week” guests say after each program.
An “interesting idea,” Gregory allows, but not one the NBC show will be emulating. “People can fact-check ‘Meet the Press’ every week on their own terms.”
Fact-check...
...on their own terms?
I believe the last Administration called that "manufacturing your own reality".

The mighty El Cid has spoken:
‘Fact checkers? What for? I got a show, damn it, and we get big names on there—BIG NAMES—and you fucks want to waste my time with ‘ooooh is this true is that true’? Get outta my fuckin’ way.’
Calling John Stewart. Fact check on isle 3.
CultureOfTruth does a fine job of fact checking this dope. Well - not really fact checking, but appropriately ridiculing the moron that is Dancin' Dave.
DanF... if you ran COT's version of the show and the actual show through the "fact checker machine", you'd probably find that COT's way closer to the truth with his analysis than what Dancin' Dave and his guests put out there for folks to "fact check on their own time"...
There is NO WAY that Gregory would have his show voluntarily fact checked... that would mean HE would have to start doing some actual research and KNOW something about the subjects he's yapping about... that would cut into his cocktail weenie time and make his guests "uncomfortable", and we can't have that.
I guess Dancin' Dave thinks informing people is "quaint," in the same way that Abu Gonzales thinks of the Geneva Convention.
facts? republikkklans don't need no steenkn facts.
