I look forward to Peggy Noonan being aghast

Our Lady of the 3 p.m. cocktail once finished 2nd in the Jonah Goldberg Memorial idiotic quote contest to...Jonah Goldberg (RIP) when she said this in the immediate aftermath of Katrina:

As for the tragic piggism that is taking place on the streets of New Orleans, it is not unbelievable but it is unforgivable, and I hope the looters are shot. A hurricane cannot rob a great city of its spirit, but a vicious citizenry can.

Meanwhile, in the reality Peggums will never ever EVER dare to mention:

A former New Orleans police officer told federal authorities he saw a fellow officer shoot and kick unarmed, wounded civilians in a deadly incident on a bridge in Hurricane Katrina's aftermath...

Hunter's statement said an unidentified officer shot Ronald Madison in the back with a shotgun.

"As Ronald Madison lay dying on the pavement, (the sergeant) ran down the bridge toward Ronald and asked an officer if Ronald was 'one of them.' When the officer replied in the affirmative, (the sergeant) began kicking or stomping Ronald Madison repeatedly with his foot," the filing states.
Story continues below

Madison and James Brissette, 19, were killed by police.

U.S. District Judge Sarah Vance said Hunter participated in a "blatant and systematic perversion of justice" and shouldn't be seen as a "hero" for taking responsibility.

"I don't think you can listen to this account without being sickened by the raw brutality of the shootings and the craven lawlessness of the cover-up," she said.

Now, how to blame Obama for this?

Peggy "Magic Dolphins" Noonan is, after all, white, in a town that still pines for its lost antebellum past, and who made her name writing for a closet racist.

No surprise that she'd decide that black people just trying to survive the consequences of the Bush administration's inaction were the "vicious citizenry."

Ah, well, Peggy will--just for working for Raygun--wind up in hell, and with luck, she'll be doing slave labor all day for Blankenship and sex slave labor for Idi Amin all night as punishment....
