The Second in a Random Series of Weekly Pointless Questions

This was Bush just the other day:

The concerns expressed are being addressed, and that is, we expect our troops to have the best possible equipment. And if I were a soldier overseas, wanting to defend my country, I'd want to ask the secretary of defense the same question.

If it is a good thing to ask the SecDef tough questions why, then, does Bush not welcome tough questions from the press?
