Whose Iraq Story?

Stories are important parts of our common culture.  Stories shape the impressions of future generations of past ones.  Much of our public discourse is shaped by stories.  Imagine what stories the Nut Wing Right is telling about Bill Clinton's impeachment?!

The story of Iraq will be told as a story of betrayal on the highest order. But which version of that story prevails – who is cast as the betrayer, how did they betray, what were the consequences – will have profound and lasting consequences for the future of our country.  We all know how the myth creation of the far right has shaped the view of Bill and Hillary Clinton!

So we all need to pay attention to how the right wing and nut wing are going to begin telling the story of the Iraq war now, through the election, and into the next president's term in office.
