Diplomacy is once again ... working

Naturally, well-experienced, foreign-policy expert (he knows about that lost Israeli tribe after all) Mitt Romney was totally on-the-ball when he called it a dark day for freedom (as is everything for conservatives when a black-guy is President apparently).

China hinted at a possible, face-saving way out of a diplomatic standoff with the United States over legal activist Chen Guangcheng, saying Friday that he could apply for permission to study abroad.

Oh no, once again it appears that something will be accomplished without threatening to bomb somebody or telling them to go fuck themselves.
