Oklahoma City-based Hobby Lobby will defy a federal law that requires employee health care plans to provide insurance coverage for types of contraception that the firm’s owners consider to be “abortion-causing drugs and devices,” an attorney for the company said Thursday.
With Wednesday’s rejection of an emergency stay of that federal health care law by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Hobby Lobby and sister company Mardel could be subject to fines of up to $1.3 million a day beginning Tuesday.Advertisement
Of course, what they are resisting is contraceptives and the morning-after pill which doesn't cause abortions.
Plus, you are a business not a church.
So suck it.

Hobby Lobby has to pay their 13,000 employees with money. Any one of those workers could do a lot of bad things with money. They coulo buy an AR-15 and shoot up a school. They could buy gasoline and use it to commit arson. They could buy the services of a prostitute -- of any sex they desired. And just imagine all the unbiblical things someone could do with a prostitute.
Hobby Lobby should be petitioning the Supremes to be allowed to pay their employees in company scrip, so they can keep their workers from doing anything Hobby Lobby considers evil with their earned wages.
Amazing how these "pro life" loons have a problem with the RU 486 "morning after" pill for supposedly taking human life.
And yet, when it comes to guns like the BushMaster .223, they have no problem.
Fuck you, fetish fetishists!
Their definition of "freedom of religion" is the freedom to impose their religion on everybody else and being free from ever encountering any other system of belief.
Amen to what DrDick said. These people believe Christianity today is under siege, so this gives them the right to behave like tyrants and bigots.
i wish i could boycott them, but i never was in a hobby lobby.

And their definitiion of being "under seige" means they are exposed to and have to put up with other points of view.
I have been a long time customer of the place. Not anymore.
Hmm, business owners consider to be “abortion-causing drugs and devices,”
Oh yeah? Well my wife's OB-GYN doesn't think much of scrapbooking, so there!
