SULAIMANIYA, Iraq, Jan 13 (Reuters) - The chief judge in the trial of Saddam Hussein plans to step down and will announce details of his intentions after presiding over the next court session on Jan. 24, a source close to the judge told Reuters.
"He wants to withdraw," the source said of Kurdish judge Rizgar Amin. "He will oversee the next sitting and then announce his reasons for withdrawing."
Unfortunately, 130,000 plus American troops have no such option.
