Let's set some ground rules

Now that the data are showing that 2006 is, so far, the warmest year ever recorded in the United States -- fitting well within a trend that has seen the last few years be the warmest recorded years globally it is time to set some ground rules.

When the droughts come here to the midwest and food stocks dwindle (it will take a while, but if we keep this up...) let those who write Wall Street Journal Editorial Pages about false hockey sticks; those who get paid by the Oil Lobby to act like the Tobacco Lobby used to; and those editors and producers in media who treat every scientific issue in which there isn't a debate...as if there is a debate by having non-qualified morons be treated as valid purveyors of merited opinion -- be the last ones in the bread line.
