Morning Question

Listening, watching, and reading many news sources, I have to ask a question that has been deeply troubling me lately.

Can anyone explain to me why the mainstream media is acting like George W. Bush is a powerful president when the guy was an awful executive (to be very charitable) and has done nothing but create misery for this country?  Not to mention what he has created for the rest of the world!

Why are the talking heads and other media acting like he is a power in American politics?  Maybe this goes to the heart of what is wrong with the media in general.  I just can't figure it out.  What do you think?
