This about sums it up

There's something off-putting about how quickly the folks who reflexively proclaim themselves "more patriotic than thou" have a shit-fit when the President of the United States restates what American Presidents have said since Lyndon Johnson -- and decide to go for the leader of another country forced into even greater extremism to maintain his coalition of whack-jobs.

What does it all mean, Thers sums it up:

The obvious 2012 GOP nominee is Benjamin Netanyahu. Not giving a rat's ass about how the US economy actually works as long as the big bucks get funneled to the right people is basically a plus for the Republicans, and allowing a hard right Israeli government veto power over US foreign policy, well, why the fuck not.

The wingnut position is that greater loyalty and deference is owed to the foreign head of a client state than to the democratically elected president of the United States of America.

He doesn't really mean "wingnut position," but doesn't have the courage to say whose "loyalty" he'a talking about. A garbled, incoherent rant, neither perceptive nor funny. It sums up nothing at all.

this evangelical wing of the GOP is taking an odd turn.

The specific "loyalty" I'a had in mind would be that of Anonymous. Or of Comic Book Guy. "Worst. Rant. Ever."
