I know this is a shocker

But I will be up tomorrow early.

To watch Chelsea travel to Man United. I've now found myself watching and enjoying European "football" more than baseball anymore. I guess it's because I'm a commie-socialist or something.

In any case, it's a huge game -- and it would be nice if neither team won...or tied.

I think the game is going to be a bit disappointing... United will be happy with a draw, it'll drag the whole game to a slower pace, more like a trench kind of style

As an Arsenal fan I too am sorry that both teams can't lose.

i haven't cared about baseball in years. the monopoly issue pissed me off as much as the last strike.

...clearly I've simply been too busy over the last few weeks. I didn't even know either of these teams were in the Final Four...

I need to pay more attention to the outside world, I guess...

It's the well-developed legs in shorts that keep me interested.

Is it just me, or is Man United the gayest name ever for a sports team?

Hmmm.

I will be up early tomorrow?

Tomorrow, I will be up early?

Yeah, I got nuttin' better to do. Sorry. Sad.

Well, I agree with you about the soccer; I play, and coach, and have reffed professionally, and love to watch a match on TV. In addition, however, I am probably one of the biggest baseball fans you'll ever meet.

TV baseball is rather dull for most people, but attending a game with friends or family is a true social event. Consider basketball in comparison; I like to watch a well-played game now and again, but you really have to focus on basketball, and soccer too, the action is continuous. With baseball, you can pay attention to the game and your companions at the same time, its leisurely pace is much more relaxing. But I'm a weird that way anyway; baseball's spent a long time fretting about the length of games and trying to speed up the action. As far as I'm concerned, 3 hours, 4 hours, keep on playing, the longer the better!

One thing I would change if I were king of the world (and I'm not, unfortunately for us all) is that managers and coaches would not be allowed to wear baseball uniforms. It's just embarrassing for everyone involved. Oh yeah, and outfielders who catch routine fly balls with one hand would be flogged. Maybe it's good I'm not king of the world after all.

I hear you Major Woody ... Tommy Lasorda in a baseball uniform was frightening to me as a child. He looked like a zombiefied, waddling blue and gray beach ball. [shiver]

A great game it was! Too bad Chelsea won on a goal made by a player who was clearly offsides.

The Man U goalie running down the field at the end to try and help them score was cool.
