Leno, appropriate? Conan, Colbert, Stewart..any would be better vox
Anyone might be better for the home audience. But for our media, anything more would be controversial because they might tell funny jokes...
But Obama was great! He has fine comedic timing and his jabs at Leno gave me a big laugh. How about Michael Steele, the "Notorious GOP"?
i find this tradition to be needing of dying.
Leno needs to retire... what comedian worth his salt READS his lame assed jokes off cards...this couldn't have been a last minute gig for him, and he obviously didn't care enough to learn his material. His "set" was just sad.
What that bunch of self-important assholes needs is good dose of George Carlin. But, dead or alive, they'd never book him.Better to have some overpaid Johnny Carson imitator who won't challenge either their pride or their prejudices.
NBC/GE made them take Leno? The corporate and war profiteer power is stronger than I realized.
